Start An Easter Tree Tradition...

My German ornament designs are very unique and have a delicate antique look to them. Every year I pull out a cotton wrapped tree and hang my Easter and Spring ornaments on the branches. I like to mix the beautiful glass with a collection of hand painted eggs done by a 5th grade Sunday school class in the early 1960s. My Easter tree makes a wonderful display and depicts an old German tradition that is very much a part of the way they decorate and celebrate the season.
Here is a peek at Easter in Germany...

Bring this Easter tradition into your own home using ornaments and hanging eggs.
Grandma's Little Angel...

So dear to my heart is little Claire, my precious baby Granddaughter.
There are many Grandmas and Moms that become filled with love and
sentiment at this time of year and especially when it comes to their
children. This little one was created by me with my Claire in mind, but
she is also a reminder to all moms out there about how precious each
baby's spirit is. Grandma's Little Angel is a true Valentine, but she
loves share in other holidays too....
Thanks,
Debbee
Sneak Peek into the Atlanta Gift Show

I have been showing my work at the Atlanta Gift Show for 16 years now and wanted to share some pictures of my booth with you. This show is a great one because stores from all over the world come to visit and to make their purchases. The hustle and bustle of getting ready for opening day can really be a challenge but it is always exciting because we get to spend time with our friends and see old familiar faces. The show people say that the attendance this year was record breaking and you could tell by the pitter patter of feet going every which way... plus sales were up from last year. Most of the stores that we do business with come to this very show to select the items they wish to carry. Everything is seen close up and making a decision for them can be easy or hard which ever way you look at it. I choose a rather simple palette for the design of the booth and for my my setting. I like to leave the vision up to our customers so I never create a themed world for my pieces. Glass and simplicity is the best way to go for me as we have so many uniquely different shops and galleries who carry my art pieces. Here is an example of our setup before the show starts, and because my designs retire you will always see that we have added and subtracted pieces year after year... Carolyn, thanks for taking the great shots!!!!
